Preserving The Park  How can I get involved?

One of the Foundation’s main goals is preserving the beautiful Ozarks landscape and preventing development from encroaching into the property surrounding the battlefield. As the Foundation continues its focus on the 615 acres identified in the 2004 Congressional boundary expansion bill, the fact that each day thirty acres of battlefield land is lost to development is ever before us. The completion of the Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield General Management Plan (GMP) Amendment in the summer of 2007 confirmed what the Foundation and park officials had already suspected.
